About
Michael Galindo
I'm originally from San Antonio, Texas but after living there for a few years, my parents decided to move to Austin, Texas, so that's where I currently live. I'm glad my parents made that decision because to me, Austin is a better, more lively city. I'm currently a senior at Akins High School so graduation is coming up, which is obviously exciting.
I got my start in photography when my parents decided to buy a DSLR to take photos at my sister's high school graduation. Because I'm generally pretty good with tech stuff, my parents gave me the task of learning how to use the camera. At first, it was a daunting task, but through many hours of online tutorials I slowly got the hang of it, but I'm still learning new things everyday. At the moment, photography is still a hobby of mine, but maybe in the future it can become a source of income.
I enjoy shooting just about anything, whether it be sports, portraits, landscapes, or still life. As a result, I don't really have a favorite thing to shoot, since it's always nice to have variety in life, and photography is no exception. However, if I had to choose one thing to shoot, it'd probably be portraits since it's a challenge to portray the subject in an interesting way and also a way that they like.
In the future, I hope to go to a good university to study something, I just don't know what yet. In terms of photography, I think I'm going to keep it as just a hobby or a possible source of income on the side. However, if the opportunity presents itself to do photography as a full time job, I'll gladly take it.
